Bio

Biography

For Owner Bryan Abernethy being a DJ and Music have always gone hand and hand. And its a lifestyle he has lived and breathed a long time. Bryan first got involved or got the bug early, mixing in and sometimes DJ’ing in local clubs like JR’s. And then mixed at the The Anvil, The Axe, Legends and started with JR’s in New Minas. While being a DJ part time, he was also an employee with Sam the Record Man for 12 years. So being on top of music and the trends was never a issue.

Mobile Music was the brain child of Steve Wilsack who was a master of fun and games and interactive entertainment. He first started the digital DJ trend many years ago.  “It’s where I learned you have to get the crowd engaged and entertained after The wedding ceremony”, or corporate speech “You have to be on to get the crowd  on the dance floor.”

Bryan has also been very  fortunate to have other mentors along the way like Mr. DJ Bill Trenholm who has always been there for advice

And guidance on equipment setups. It was 2001 when  Bryan first started Mobile Music DJ  Services. And in 2020, despite some obstacles is still going strong.

Hundreds of weddings, events, and proms have been entertained by Mobile Music and many have been repeat customers. DJ Bryan is also the official DJ for the AVR barn Dances whichCreate quite a buzz when they happen. Mobile Music has a reputation for providing elite entertainment at a reasonable rate.

The idea that anybody can just get up and play music is false. The whole process takes time to set up and the tear down of equipment late at night its all part of learning.

“I take pride in reading a crowd, and also taking requests.  You have to put your personal taste in music aside  and play for the crowd. Mobile music encourages a meeting with the client beforehand so everybody is on the same page with music choices, family situations, the mistake is that you can never assume anything anymore.”
